Shipping, Returns & Cancellations

Shipping:

  • Courier; we deliver directly to your home or office, anywhere in South Africa. All delivery and tracking details are supplied to you at checkout.
  • Self – Collection at any of our stores.

2. Our delivery charges are subject to change at any time, without prior notice to you.

3. You will see the applicable delivery charges in your cart when you check out.

4. When your order is accepted, Household Plastics will deliver the Goods to you as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than 30 (thirty) days of receipt of your payment.

5. We will notify you if we are unable to deliver the Goods and you may then within 7 (seven) days of receiving such notification elect whether or not to cancel your order for the Goods. If you elect to cancel your order, we will reimburse you for the purchase price.

6. Household Plastics obligation to deliver a product to you is fulfilled when we deliver the product to the physical address nominated by you for delivery of the order.

7. Note: Household Plastics is not responsible for any loss or unauthorized use of a product, after it has delivered the products to the physical address nominated by you.

11. We do not ship outside of South African borders at this time.

12. You will have to sign for your delivery upon receipt of the times. If you are not able to receive your package personally, then ensure that there is someone at your nominated address to accept delivery.

13. Due to the nature of product, delivery options may differ per division and product, and not all delivery options are available for all items ordered.

14. Delivery fees vary depending on your selected delivery option and items ordered. Products ordered may be calculated per item and in accordance with the location of your delivery address. The delivery fee will be displayed during the ordering checkout process, but before checkout has been finalized.

Returns & Cancellations

1. To return any goods, you must produce a receipt/till slip to us within 7 (seven) days of purchase.

2. No returns will be accepted after seven (7) days;

3. In the interest of hygiene standards, all products of a personal nature will not be refunded or exchanged.

4. Gift vouchers may not be returned or exchanged for cash.

5. Should your goods be returned within 7 days, we will reverse the transaction

6. Should you wish to exchange your goods, you may do so within 7 days of purchase.

  • The goods are unused with all original, sealed packaging and any tags attached;
  • The goods are in a saleable condition;
  • It does not fall under our non-refundable hygiene items;
  • It is not a gift voucher;

8. If your goods are defective then we may opt to repair or exchange defective goods provided that proof of purchase is produced;

9. If your item has been delivered and thereafter you notice that it is damaged or incorrect, you have to notify us within 7 days;

10. Should you wish to return any items, you will do so at your own cost and we are not liable to pick up any items from you once risk has passed;

11. Unless provided for under these Terms & Conditions, no cancellations or changes to online orders will be accepted and the goods will be delivered to the delivery address supplied by you in the order.

12. You should carefully check that your order is accurate before you submit it. Should you receive an incorrect order then you will be able to return the goods within 7 (seven) days so that we can provide you with the correct items.

13. If we cannot contact you about your order using the contact details you provided in the order, after having made reasonable attempts to contact you, we will cancel your order and charge a handling fee.

14. A handling fee will be charged if you return goods for change of mind or you made an incorrect selection, including if you ordered the incorrect item, size or colour

16. Household Plastics will process any refunds within a reasonable time of agreeing to do so. Credit Card refunds may take up to 14 (fourteen) working days, arising from administrative processes required between banks.

  • On a credit card, refunds will be processed on the same card as the original payment was made
  • If you paid cash in store, you may request a refund in-store in order to receive your cash back.

19. Same day delivery orders cannot be cancelled or changed oncesubmitted and can only be returned at a Household Plastics store.

  • Provide your proof of purchase;
  • It is undamaged and unused;
  • It is not missing any accessories or parts

21. You may either log a return on our website within 7 (seven) days of delivery to you or collection by you of any items.

22. If we accidentally deliver the wrong item to you, or if the product is not as described on the website, please notify us within 7 (seven) days and we will collect the product from you at no charge. If the product is missing any accessories or parts or has been damaged then we are entitled to inspect and charge a handling fee. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will deliver the correct product to you as soon as possible.

23. Should a product be damaged or missing any parts or accessories at the time of delivery / collection, you are liable to inform us within 7 (seven) days of such delivery / collection by calling us or logging a return online. We will then arrange to collect the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at your choice repair or replace the product as soon as possible.

  • Faults arising from normal wear and tear;
  • Damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product
  • Damage arising from electrical surges or sea air corrosion;
  • Damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
  • Damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product;
  • Where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you

25. We are entitled to inspect products thoroughly and send it back to our suppliers for further inspection before refunding you.

26. You should always check that the items being collected or delivered are correct and are free from any defects. Should the packaging be damaged and you accept the order without fully inspecting the items, you should add a note on the delivery note stipulating that the packaging was damaged, or order. You should notify our offices without delay in order for us to be aware of any issued with the items and in order for arrangements to be made for the items to be returned or refunded.

27. Although reasonable care shall be taken, we cannot accept responsibility for incorrect delivery details that have been provided to us, or if an unauthorized person at your chosen delivery address accepts delivery of your order, as we do not verify the identity of the person at te delivery address who signs the delivery note.

28. In the event that you do not collect an order at your chosen Household Plastics store, reminders will be sent to you to collect the order. If you do not collect the order within 10 (ten) days, your order will be cancelled.

29. After two (2) failed attempts to deliver your order to your chosen delivery address via our courier services, your order shall be returned to us and you will be liable for any courier and/or delivery fees

30. If you return a defective product to us and you fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, we are entitled to refuse your return OR only replace the item that you did return. Alternatively we may charge you a handling fee upon returning the item.

31. Please note that we only refund to the payment method that you originally used.

32. RISK: Once the order has been delivered, or collected by you, the risk in and to the products will pass to you as the customer.
